The Global Urban Trek is a summer immersion program that focuses on the intersection of faith, justice, urban and global poverty, vocation, and stewardship. We partner with local churches and non-government organizations (NGOs) to serve as our teachers, guide and mentors for our staff and students. Our posture is to live, listen, and learn what God is already doing in these communities. As students experience daily life and the needs of this community, they may begin to sense God's call to longer-term service among the urban poor.
Join us in Nicaragua as we learn about the complexities and beauties of this country and it's people. This site focuses on education, literacy and working heavily with children and teens. We offer two sites; a sports ministry and an education site. Nicaragua hosted its first Trek team in 2023 and will be returning in the summer of 2025.

$5500 (includes flight to and from the country, housing, and food) & flight to and from Houston, Texas In lieu of a fixed cost - the Trek asks students to set a fundraising goal based on historical cost and each students’ background and will fundraise in a communal model.
